We drove the Road to Hana. It's a route that zigzags over 56 one-lane bridges and snakes around more than 617 hairpin curves. We started out at 7:00 a.m and did not get back to our hotel until 6:00 p.m. I drove on the way up and it was not very enjoyable. With only one lane traffic it was pretty stressful at times. When we finally got to the top it was well worth the drive. It was one of the most beautiful things we have ever seen. (This is Anthony standing in the middle of a bamboo forest.) Anthony drove the way down and he had a lot of fun. He acted like we were on a go cart track. Shifting gears on our rental car was pretty exciting for him.
